Good Times at the Rogue

So I saw the craziest show last night at the Rogue Bar. I went to scope it out for our show on March 23, and it was a far different experience than the last time I had been there. It was an exciting and eclectic crowd as always (random people from the audience screaming at the stage, girls getting yelled at by the bartender for drinking a bottle of champagne in the bathroom), but this crowd was all the more exciting due the performance by the homosexual Black Flag cover band entitled Black Fag. In between sets from The Liars Handshake and Trash This Place, everyone hardcore to queen was getting their groove on to Lady Gaga, Madonna, and of course a little disco. This article from the New Times couldn't have described it better: Black Fag at the Rogue Bar Last Night .

So That's What my E String Sounds Like...

Tonight I had a chance to try out my new bass cab with my electric. The low end finally sounds like a cello! Awesome!! I sat around playing Lost and Found in the dark for 30 minutes basking in the glorious low vibrations...

You're a Pitch!

So tonight we worked on recording vocals for Anxiety. James, Nate, and I sat in one room while Devin was recording vocals in the other. Just some highlights...

"Sing like you're a creepy guy in the corner..."
slurrp, slurrp
"Pitchy!"
"It's pitchy dude."
"You're a Pitch!"
"Things you do alone in a pitch black room."
"That's going on here!"
"No!!"
"Just don't go into my corner. You'll be fine."
"That was like the constipated Creed voice."
"You guys are all pitches."
"Put your clothes back on and get out here."

Get your mind out of the gutter!! I'm pleased to say that after this recording session Anxiety is becoming one of my favorite songs.
